English artist, painter and photographer, David Hockney, perfected a technique of producing a photocollage or 'Joiner' in the early 1980s, using a collection of photographs taken using a Polaroid camera. The shots would be arranged to form a sort of 'patchwork' giving an overall impression of the image.
Miniatures
The summer of 2019 proved to be mixed time for my photography. In July, I was awarded my Licentiate of the RPS, then a few weeks later, I found myself in hospital being treated for sepsis. This resulted in cancelling our family holiday, so, while recovering at home, I treated myself to a few vintage cameras and model railway figures on Ebay and set about creating some table-top 'scenes'.
Plenty of scope for some corny titles, here.
Long Exposure Photography
With the ISO set as high as possible, a small aperture such as f/18 and a long exposure of between 2 and 6 seconds, some interesting light trails result.
Tybalt
July 2020 saw the arrival of Tybalt. Named after Romeo's arch rival, Tybalt is a 10-month old baby Horsefield tortoise.
'Name that Dance'
With so much time spent 'confined to barracks' in 2020, my photography has been somewhat limited to tabletop projects. The mannequins can be seen dancing to 'Bring me Sunshine' by Eric and Ernie, 'Riverdance' and 'The Thriller'.
Built by Roberts
Another tabletop project. The yellow Fiat 500 built from Lego.
